NEW MEXICO LANDFILL TO BE EXCAVATED FOR ATARI E.T. GAMES

According to urban legend, in September 1983 Atari is said to have dumped millions of cartridges at the landfill site and buried them under concrete. Supposedly done as a result of millions of unsold E.T. cartridges based on the popular Spielberg film.

The game was rushed to the market despite bold efforts by Howard Scott Warshaw to create a great game in an extremely limited time frame. Upon receiving less than flattering reviews and record returns, Atari suffered a huge financial losses as a result.

Atari never denied nor confirmed whether or not they dumped the games, but local resident Joe Lewandowski, who worked at the site at the time states that he saw, "games and oth
er Atari related brick-a-brac" bulldozed and buried in concrete.

To coincide with the 30th anniversay, Fuel Entertainment has gained permission with the city of Alamogordo to explore the dump site. Will we finally discover the truth?

VCS BOMB ON PIXEL CITY NOW AVAILABLE AT HOMEBREW HEAVEN

Bomb on Pixel City was created by Alain le Guirec in 2012 sort of on a dare. He saw someone else had created an iOS game of the same name which paid homage to Atari pixel based graphics. When he claimed he could write an actual Atari game, they said "show me" and the rest is history! BOPC comes with a full-color game manual that describes the game and shows a few screen shots. Very cute, but watch out for those crazy birds!
